Scope of Work: Two Civil Works (CW) contracts – Rødovre-Herlev (CW-RH) & Gladsaxe (CW-G)

The Greater Copenhagen Light Rail (L3) will be a new established 28km rail between Ishøj (South) going northbound to Lyngby/Danish Technical University. L3 will go through 11 different municipalities.
The light rail corridor follows Ring 3 crossing several S-train stops, including Herlev and Buddinge S-train stations. The light rail carriages will reach a max. speed of 70 km/h, and stop at 30 new stations along the 28km light rail corridor.
CG Jensen design and construct two of the five (In total) Civil Works (CW) contracts; CW-RH (Rødovre and Herlev municipalities) and CW-G (Gladsaxe minucipality). The light rail corridors of CW-RH/G are build along the center of Ring 3. The combined length of CW-RH/G is approx. 8.4kms.
The CW-RH/G design and build contracts include:
• Roads, bicycle and pedestrian paths (New and re-establishment of existing corridors)
• Rail (Alignments and ballasted rail tracks)
• Planting (New and the preservance of tree and planting areas)
• Drainage (Road, rail and structures)
• Installations (Ducting, road lighting and earthing)
• Civil structures (New pedstrian steel bridges, sheet pile walls, concrete retaining walls, station platform foundations, concrete slab tracks, and stregnthening of existing concrete structures)
• Occupational safety and health
• Common Safety Methods (CSM)
Swedish owned Tyréns A/S was the lead design consultancy of CW-RH/G from April 2018 to January 2021. The three founding owners of JUN, held key roles on the L3 project including project manager, design coordinator and the design leads of the road, BIM, planting, rail, installations and geotechnical disciplines respectively. That included meetings, clarifiactions with client, employer and also the third party coordination towards the Banedanmark S-train interfaces at Herlev and Buddinge.
JUN assisted Ramboll from February-October 2021 during the handover of design, which included discipline roles of road, landscaping, rail, BIM/ICT and geotechnical. JUN contributed with the ICT agreement, change- and interface coordination, CSM etc.
JUN have from October 2021 assisted CG Jensen with coordination of design, receiver checking, dialogue with authorities, CSM and more.
